This Autumn sees the introduction of new range of courses at Sewingtime. Starting with a new range of How To Short Courses. How to Make a Shirt saw a Male Student join the throng of women, only the second to have braved the wild world of women that is sewing at sewingtime. I'll probably get slaughtered for this but in my defense I have never said women only, and have tried on numerous occasions to include the men. Anyway I am glad that there is now more interest in sewing by all, men women and the young ones. Speaking of our young members this week, the children in the after school club has been introduced to the art of crochet.....well my hat off to them all from 7yrs to 13yrs these girls are phased by nothing every one went home having mastered the first stage of making a chain and being very creative turned these into necklaces, headbands or bracelets. Well done girls........!
Another first this autumn is Beaded Jewellry making with Instructor, and renowned Jewellry maker Ros Sharman. All students were delighted especially when each went home with a superb, glittering necklace after only the first lesson.
